Folonari Corposo Rosso
The grapes are picked under the hot August sun; the vineyards produce healthy, rich and dark coloured bunches. The grapes are vinified immediately after the harvest and the different varieties are fermented separately.
Deep garnet red. Well developed and slightly spicy bouquet, reminiscent of plums and ripe mulberries. Full, rich and firm to the palate, with a clear impression of lively ripe fruit; the tannins are soft and silky, leading to a very satisfying and lasting aftertaste.
12.5% alcohol, 3.5 gr/l residual sugar, pH 3.46 , 5.7 gr/l total acidity.
This wine is suitable for everyday drinking and should preferably be served with flavoursome and characterful Mediterranean dishes. Some suggestions: lasagne, pasticcio of aubergines (“melanzane alla parmigiana”), meat with tomato and oregano sauce, roast meats and also mature cheeses.
Serving temperature: 14-16°C.
This wine is best enjoyed fresh and within 2-3 years of production.
