Folonari Fruttato Rosso
Made from Corvina and Merlot, this wine conveys a unique impression of fruity wholesomeness. It should always be served slightly chilled, especially in summer, when it will represent an enticing, new alternative to white wines and other light alcoholic beverages. Very easy drinking, it should be consumed while still young.
The grapes are harvested from selected parcels of recently planned and planted vineyards in the Veneto and Trentino regions; the vines are trained largely by the Guyot system and partly by the “pergola trentina” system. Modern clones and stocks were carefully selected to optimize yields in relation to the microclimatic conditions of the area and consequently to the desired organoleptic characteristics of the wine.
The grapes are picked towards the end of September by the most up-to-date methods of mechanical harvesting combined with traditional vintaging by hand, the different grapes are vinified separately.
Lively, medium cherry colour. Soft, enticing and modern bouquet of blackberries and raspberries. The flavour is refreshingly and delicately fruity with hints of fruits of the forest in the aftertaste.
11.5% alcohol, 4.1 gr/l residual sugar, pH 3.31 , 5.9 gr/l total acidity.
This wine will accompany well all sorts of light dishes: pasta with light sauce, cold meats, young cheeses, risotto, soups and even steamed or grilled fish. Perfect for pizza, picnics and braais.
Serving temperature: 10-12°C.
This wine is best enjoyed when young and within 2-3 years of production.
